Primate describe animals in the order of mammals that include Monkeys, Lemurs and Apes, all sharing common characteristics. These similar characteristics are called Synapomorphies, which separate species of a common ancestor from species of different ancestor. Primate generally have larg skulls with more developed braincases, multiple types of teeth and unique form of locomotion such as brachiation. Most are highly social animals.

Examples of such animals in the section includes Chimpanzee, Baboon and different species of Monkeys.
